COMMUNICATION

I was lucky to work with an instructor that was very willing to do this activity.  One of the first sessions we had she invited me to her house and we worked there and then had lunch together, this gave us the opportunity to know each other and made the rest of the process much simpler.
She was always available to answer my phone calls, and we mostly communicated through the cell phone.
There was one event though where during a Wimba session she felt very frustrated she was not able to upload a PowerPoint.  I remained very calm to help her figure out what she was doing wrong.  I discovered she was trying to upload a Word document instead of a PowerPoint and apparently that day her internet connection was giving her a lot of problems.  Since this happend very late on the semester, I already knew the wonderful person she is, and I decided to remain silent and try to see where I could help. After I understood what she wanted to do, I did it for her instead of trying to explain in that particular moment what she needed to do. Eventhough this was a very stressful class, we were able to make things work. After class I received a phone call from her tanking me for the help I had given her. That day I confirmed the value of remaining quiet and calm under distress… things will work out.. just remain calm.
